As a mental wellness practitioner and Somatic Experiencing trauma therapist, I assist this work using my skills and knowledge to guide learning and connection.
I am the owner and sole operator of Integrated Elevation. I am a devoted youth wellness advocate, trauma therapist, helper, facilitator, activist, Ally, business owner, wife, sister, friend, mother and horse enthusiast!
I first recognized my gift in connecting with others in a 'helping' way during a ten month service trip to St. Lucia West Indies in 2002. While there, I established pro-social youth programs across the island and collaborated as a strengths-based workshop facilitator with the Massade Boys Training Centre, a detention centre for male youth. This experience provided me with more knowledge, insight and personal growth than my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology ever could, and would later influence my decision to complete the Child and Youth Worker Advanced Diploma through Fanshawe College in London, Ontario.
Since this time, I have dedicated my career to supporting and advocating for vulnerable clients, both in urban and rural First Nations settings. I have gained invaluable skills, experience and knowledge along the way. As a Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapist Practitioner, I work through a wholistic, strengths-based lens and believe in the inherent potential and gifts of every person. Late in my career I recognized the need for a more unconventional approach to wellness. I achieved my Facilitator status in Equine Assisted Learning, joined a barn family and dove deep into learning the power and potential for self development from connecting with horses on the ground. In my work, I seek to support the discovery, nurturing and integration of these potentials with the aim of elevating my clients towards their true and highest purpose. I aspire to support all my clients to achieve; Connection, Empowerment, Integration and Elevation
